Music and Movies Collections
If you're an avid music listener or movie buff you may have a large collection of cd's and dvd's.
You may also be running out of space too. A simple way in which to organize your collection is to purchase zip up media
binders. They can be purchased in a variety of sizes and designs. The first step would be to count the number
of items in your collection and then add twenty five percent on top of that to account for growth. Now take that number
and shop for the appropriate number of media binders that you will need. Keep in mind that you will need to purchase
binders that can be easily purchased in the future and that will be easy to match. Now it's time to take a look at your
collection and decide if you have outgrown some the media that you own. Once you are left with only the dvd's or cd's
that you love you can now organize them. There are two ways in which to do this. They can be organized alphabetically
or by genre. Ask yourself if you you most commonly look for a movie by the mood you are in or do you always know the
title of the movie that you want to view. This will help you decide in which way you want to organize. Place the
items in the binder and be sure to leave extra spaces behind each letter of the alphabet or the genre, and if you have an
extensive collection you can use a separate binder for each. The final step is to put an index list in the front of
each binder and also to label the outside to identify what is in each binder, it may be for example letters A-D or jazz
cd's. You will be amazed as to what little space you will need to house your collection and you won't have to look
at shelves and shelves of unsightly media.
